The Inkewell: Archived

Spread the love

So… I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, and I’ve decided to retire “Quille’s Inkewell” as a site name and “Quille” as my own nickname. I’ve got a couple of social profiles to change still, but here’s the official announcement. I don’t know how many of my friends know the story of Quille anymore (which is a story for another time), and it’s become rather obsolete in my writing life, so I think it’s time to change. Here’s the collection of poems and pictures that have represented Quille’s Inkewell over the two years I’ve had this site.

2020 Homepage Poem

Inkewell: magic lands,

Shining midnight seas, spilling

Tales onto paper.

2019 Homepage Poem

It seems common to think

That only ink

Is contained in an inkwell,

But I’ve found so much more to tell:

Battered dreams and fairy wings,

Dragon fire and teardrop stings,

Sunshine, mist, and deep sweet breath;

Storms, starlight, and empty death;

Love’s everlasting embrace,

Rainbows and wild geese to chase;

Treasure beyond men’s minds

Fey and beasts of every kind;

Heroes rising and villains fell,

These all swirl together in the depths of my

Inkwell.

The first header I made for my newsletters, which, sadly, only got used once.

The first logo I drew: a silhouetted tree of life inkwell with a feather pen behind it.

My very first logo designed by my mom, Galadriel Grace (who is brilliant at that sort of thing 🙂

And, that’s the end. I might at some later point touch on the Inkewell again – and I certainly intend to share more of the full story – but, for now, I think I’d just like to be me. 🙂
